Gary Bresien Gary Bresien has more than 20 years of management experience in various service industries and currently is Partner and regional Director with The Prism Group, a technical staffing and business solutions firm that provides resources to high tech companies throughout the US. Gary has been in the IT Staffing industry for the last 8 years in Colorado. He has been involved in building client relationships with many of the High Tech companies along the Front Range spanning a variety of industries including RFID. Through the Prism Group Gary is in touch with individuals and companies on the cutting edge of technology in their respective industries.
Gary has most recently focused attention to the growing RFID industry through the building of new relationships with key players in the industry and has a strong desire both personally and professionally to help facilitate the growth of the RFID industry in Colorado and throughout the US. It is his commitment to the further development of CORFIDA as an educational tool, career portal and industry resource that drives Gary to represent CORFIDA as the premier RFID organization in the area.
Brian McGrane Brian has been a leader in bar code data collection and RFID technology for the past 20 years. Brian founded Innovative Products and Peripherals Corp. in the early 1980's which was focused on Bar Code technology and warehouse management and supply chain applications. After selling Innovative Products in the early 1990's Brian has worked in technology solutions with the major ERP vendors including Oracle and SAP. Brian continues to specialize in emerging technologies and to drive focus and value in the mobile bar code and RFID technology marketplace.
Brian is currently the RFID Business Development Manager for Sun MicroSystems. Sun MicroSystems has an RFID and Environmental Test lab located in Longmont, Colorado. The Sun RFID Test Lab offers both compliance based RFID testing as well as environmental testing for RFID Tags and Labels. Brian will offer Testing, Education and RFID training services at Sun's RFID Test Center in addition to providing Education services and direction to CORFIDA's expanding educational and seminar offerings.
Greg Pfahl
Greg has more than 10 years of professional experience and serves as a Senior Audit Manager in the Denver office of HEIN & ASSOCIATES LLP, a national accounting and advisory firm with additional offices in Dallas, Houston, and Southern California. Greg provides audit, consulting and transactional services to both private and public companies, including initial and secondary public offerings, as well as private investments in public equity transactions. He also has a wide array of technical expertise in the areas of equity based compensation accounting, business combinations, and accounting for income taxes. Greg has developed a focus in the high technology, manufacturing, and distribution industries, and serves as the Denver leader for the firm’s manufacturing and distribution industry practice group. He received both his Bachelor of Science in accounting and his Masters of Public Accountancy from Western Kentucky University.
Jon Shore
Jon Shore is the Founder and CEO of Sentegra, a provider of hardware and software solutions for the handling of mobile, interactive and secure electronic transactions. Jon was formerly an innovation consultant to corporations and founder of JBS Consulting. In 1999 he developed the concepts, business models and software/hardware designs that have now grown into the meWallet secure digital authentication/transaction and marketing systems. He is the designer of the meWallet System, the PayStick, the idDisc as well as the SMS Emergency Alert System and the SMS Marketing System. He has written all patent applications for Sentegra Technologies, has created an extensive worldwide network of partners and customers for Sentegra and other companies and has raised all funding for Sentegra.
Leanne Smullen As the Vice President of Marketing for Fluensee, Leanne is responsible for defining the company's branding, communications and marketing strategies. For more than 17 years Leanne has held positions in marketing and public relations for technology-based product and services companies and the U.S. government. Before Fluensee, she was the vice president of global marketing for the first mobile asset management company, TrenStar, where she was responsible for the company's go-to-market strategy, brand and public relations. Leanne was also the director of marketing communications at Viewlocity, a leading supply chain event management company, where she developed the global communications, public relations and advertising strategies that helped position the new company as the recognized market leader. Leanne also worked for management consulting firm Kurt Salmon Associates in the logistics practice, where she assisted Fortune 500 consumer products clients with logistics strategy. As a former major in the U.S. Army and public affairs officer, Leanne was responsible for media relations during deployments to Afghanistan, Kuwait, Macedonia and Somalia. She received a B.A. in communications from the University of Southern California and an MBA with a concentration in marketing from Georgia State University.
Lucy Vento Lucy has 19 years of experience in the information technology industries. She is a Principal for CSC Consulting in the Supply Chain Management practice where she specializes in global logistics, inventory management and wireless enablement applications. In 2002 and 2003, Lucy was at Avis in the United Kingdom where she led a 12-country Pan European IT project to upgrade and enhance 850 car rental stations and the primary IT sites in each country. Earlier in her career, Lucy spent 8 years at Qwest/U S WEST in sales, marketing and engineering. In 1988, she co-founded Call Management Products, a manufacturing company in Broomfield, CO. Lucy was the founding president of the Colorado RFID Alliance and was the 2001 President of the Denver Telecom Professionals (renamed to Communications Technology Professionals). Lucy holds a MS in Telecommunications and a BA in Economics from the University of Colorado. She was an adjunct faculty member for four years at the University of Denver.
